Today was a calm day. The past few weeks have been a whirlwind, with the days flying fast and furious. I felt overwhelmed at work, like there was no-one really around to help. Everyone should have some kind of mentor, someone to look up to. I'm still looking. Files piling up on my table. So many things had to be co-ordinated.

The psychiatrist-visit to the Kluang prison took the whole afternoon yesterday. That went well, but the drive to-and-back was draining. Note to self, buy an expensive car and employ driver. Use someone else's money...

Not only do I have to prepare my own cases, I now have to do work that I'm not in charge of. Its challenging, but most times unappreciated. A paid salary is fine, but a once-in-a-while "good-job" is always nice.

This multi-tasking may be crazy at the moment, but I hope I'll be ok. I really want a mentor but I guess its too late for that. The office is in a perpetual state of flux.

Work-wise, every file is something new, challenging. I didn't have much of a Training Officer in the start, but I guess that forces me to go the extra mile to get things done. It really is true; when the pupil is ready, the master will appear. I finally got that one.
